Tasting notes

The 2014 Chardonnay is rich and expressive while still retaining subtlety and surprise. The nose is heady with Meyer lemon curd and orange blossom, backed by hints of exotic cardamom, white pepper and vanilla. The palate is soft and round, balanced by a refreshing, electric finish that lingers on the palate.

Production notes

The grapes for this Chardonnay consist primarily from Fairsing Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA (Dijon selections 76 and 95), the Hyland Vineyard in the McMinnville AVA (UCD Selection 108), and Anderson Family Vineyard (Dijon selection 76) and Thistle Vineyard both in the Dundee Hills AVA. The fruit was picked in early September and barrel fermented in 32% new French oak. The wine went through malo-lactic fermenation and was aged 8 months prior to bottling.
